a conversation with my brain

Brain: Oh come on, I'm tired of this stupid paper.
aesc: Look, brain, we are going to finish it this week. We have to submit it ASAP. It's a line on the goddamn CV, for crying out loud. Now check the damn Latin and translation.
Brain: *pout* Very well, then. Stupiditas, nomen tuum aesc es. That means "Stupidity, thy name--"
aesc: I mean the Latin on the page.
Brain: *work work work work* .... How about some tea?
aesc: No. Pay attention.
Brain: How about some espresso?
aesc: Okay, fine. Just... think about the paper while I get your precious caffeine.
Brain: We owe Siria porn.
aesc: PAPER.
Brain: PORN.
aesc: Shut up unless it has to do with the paper. Sitting down now.
Brain: *work work work work work* .... I think I'm owed an LJ update.
aesc: Ohhhhh... I suppose so, as long as it's a really fast one. There's still ten more pages to go and I want to get this done. *click*
Brain: This won't take but a --

Brain: Oh. Oh my. Can we sit here for a while?
aesc: .... yeah.

.eta: I direct you to what stillane has said concerning all of this: Misha Collins is what happens when Rule 34 and the fourth wall meet and make sweet, sweet love. True facts. I don't think that could be said any better.

.in other news: Newsweek has an article on Harry Potter fandom and philanthropy. It's HP-centric and doesn't mention other, looser confederations of fandom and giving like Sweet Charity, but still, it's nice to be reminded of the awesome things fandom can do.
