Collectibles
As we all know, there's usually some sort of paraphernalia available for some of our fave anime series, especially if they're super popular. With the new edit version of Psycho-Pass upon us and the second season in the near future, I've noticed a lot more things popping up for sale for the series. Big YAAAY!
There are a lot of series out there, so obviously I only collect things for my absolute faves. Since there's nothing for Darker Than Black (*cries*), my next biggest one is Psycho-Pass. I was a little late jumping on the bandwagon, but I have a number of magazines that feature the series, the profiling book, the 2014 calendar, the box set of "Color Collection" (aka the chibi figures), the Shinya key chain, the Shinya glasses cleaner (thanks Haruko!), the OST and the complete first season (which came with some limited edition stuff).
A couple of things that came out, which are duh, now out of stock/unavailable, that I was interested in - a chibi image eyeglasses container and a iPhone case. Except yah, I don't HAVE an iPhone. I can't really justify getting one just cuz... Lol~
The other series that I keep an eye on are Noragami and Attack on Titan; the second one more because Bri's such a huge fan of it.
But... Which series are your "collectible" series? What sort of things interest you that you might actually want?
I like stuff that's useful, though not necessarily? Lol... For example, I like the figurines (nendroids) that come out, but I find that they're expensive so I wouldn't get them. Well, I guess if it was the right character, then I would... LOL. But usually, I like the chibi charm stuff or key chains. Mugs wouldn't be too bad either, if they had them.
For my Japanese goodies fix, I tend to shop at YesAsia and CDJapan, preferably YesAsia. Their prices are more expensive, but that basically includes the shipping costs with the figure. It probably works out the same cost-wise as CDJapan, but I just find it more annoying to worry about that. The only downside is that YesAsia has limited selection in comparison. A lot of the really cool things (like all the PP phone cases) were only available on CDJapan.
Since CDJapan is better in that regards, I find the "competition" that much more cutthroat... haha! Like if you see something that's "pre-order" on that site, you better damn well buy it right then and there, or it'll be out of stock!
Anyways... I was looking around on YesAsia again, because my geekiness has kicked in from our trip and... I know we were griping about the lack of Noragami goodies... Well... I found something!! I've seen stuff on CDJapan, but nothing that I really wanted... But this... Noragami charms!
I am SO getting this! They look like earphone jacks, but who the heck cares?! It is sooo cute!! I think you all know me well enough to know that cuteness is my kryptonite... HAHA!
Also, they're re-releasing the Psycho-Pass key chains - the one where I got Shinya and Nobuchika for Bri. HECK YA! So going to re-buy those and "complete" the set... haha! Then I could actually use one and have one in good condition! XD The "set" has Shinya, Nobuchika, Shougo and Shuusei. There are new rubber strap key chains that include more characters: Akane, Shuusei, Shougo, Nobuchika, Shinya and Tomomi, but it's not nearly as cute.
Oh! And considering how Bri has her Attack on Titan hoodie, there's actually one for Psycho-Pass - WPC Parka. haha, pretty cool though I'm not into that sort of thing.
Annnd... That's all I have to say for now! Back to the geeky grind of previewing some of this season's series so I can post about it later~
