That is to say, how thoroughly I get absorbed in each type of reading to the point where everything else falls away. Books have exerted a near total absorption on me most of my life. Started reading pro-books again recently. It's handy having a bff who is a librarian. :)

Most recently I've read Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie and Nexus by Ramaz Naam. Both really great books, both dealing with the blending of biology and technology and the ethical considerations involved but in entirely different ways. Both very satisfying ( Read more... )

My little sister got me an Amazon Gift Card for xmas so I went and bought some actual books! Two digitally and two in print. One of the print ones was for my mom, though. I really suck at accepting gifts. :D
