i hate subjects hmph....
Hey all :) Just got a typing itch so i thought i'd throw out a random thought or so. I had a pretty cool weekend.. spent most of it with Rob. We hung out on Friday to catch Art, Beats, and Eats here in Michigan. It's this music festival with food from local restraunts and art booths and what not. Pretty awesome stuff. I'm thinking to make it a yearly ritual. I got in this discussion with Rob tonight about one of the bands we saw, Sponge. They are a local band here in Detriot but they've been around for 10 years or so with different songs. Some of you cats might know them.. anyhoo, check them out. Good stuff :) When i was growing up, they were one of the bands i had this penchant for. We picked up their new cd at the show this weekend and it's been all sorts of cool nostalgia. One song in particular i really like. It's called "Leave This World". You know.. i was telling Rob how it's crazy that most songs... you listen to them and you enjoy them on this concious level. You'll buy the cd... and it becomes a part of the music collection that most of us have. But you run into the occasional song.. and it does this weird hippie subconcious flow through you. You like it... you listen to it.. but you can't quite nail what it is that makes it so cool. It just stays on auto play in your i-pod until something else quirky comes along. I don't know.. it's hard to explain but i love it when i find a song like that. Just kind of sends a charge through me and i get all giddy hehe. I think it was this exact feeling that made me become such a music nut and want to work in the music industry cause that feeling is such a cool thing :)
So deep thought aside, I spent some fabulous time with Joy and some even more fabulous time with Rob on Sunday and Monday. Joy is going through some stuff but she's a touhg gal and knows her shit. She'll be fine :) Gotta keep an eye on her the next few weeks and make sure she doesnt stress too much. She's my bestest bud and hey, that's what bestest buds do.
This whole Rob thing is kinda crazy. He's kinda growing on me lol. He's got this perfect mix of smarts but he has this artsy, let loose kind of side. I remain optimistic and giddy. It's pretty cool to meet someone like that. Now i have yet to find a 6th toe or some weird quirk about the guy but if i do, i'll let you all know hehe. As of yet, all is well and he rocks so yeah.. that's that about that.
I'm off to watch a movie and get my feets all purty..
