Busy busy
Saturday was busy but fun. Here's the short version...
~Got up to Staunton around 11 (a little later than I had intended, but no big deal)
~Went to the park and fed the ducks and played at the playground. Met up with someone from church and chatted while Benjamin played.
~Then went over to Mom's friend's house that was going to watch Benjamin during the wedding. I went over about 12:45 so I could get him fed and settled.
~I left about 1:30 to go over to the wedding (wedding was at 2) and caught up with people to figure out what I was doing about reading. The wedding was nice. It was about twice as long as mine (but that's not saying much... *grin*) So Benjamin was only over at mom's friend's house for about 1.5 hours. She didn't have to change a diaper or anything, they just played outside and had a good time.
~Got to the reception a bit later (about 3:30) and Benjamin was grouchy because he hadn't napped more than about 8 minutes on the way over to the reception), but he got over it. It was nice that the reception was outside and there wasn't really anything for him to get into, so he just wandered a bit. An old neighbor was very helpful to me and there were lots of people there to hold kids and get me food and drinks etc.
~Left a lot later than planned due to a couple things, but it was fine. Then only got about 30 minutes down the road before Abigail started getting fussy. So I pulled over in a hotel parking lot to top her off. (Benjamin was napping at this point) Apparently she didn't need topping off though because she puked on me and then I set her down to clean her up and she puked on herself and the carseat. So I finally got the two of us completely changed and then she decided she needed a bit more to eat and then she settled down and went to sleep. Then at this point Benjamin woke up, but was fine and didn't fuss and I only had to stop that one time.
Sunday
~Bill's parents were here. They went to church with us. I got a bit tired of leaving the room every time I had to feed Abigail, but didn't want to deal with Bill's dad running away and being freaked out/whatever. It was a nice day though and we were outside a bit. They of course left the house with tons of dishes from dinner, but whatever. I'll make Bill do them tomorrow.
~Benjamin fell while we were outside and whacked his face on a plastic toy wheelbarrow. So he has a HUGE shiner on his eye. Poor kid. It's not too swollen though and doesn't seem to bother him.
~We got 3 new fish and one already died last night. Sheesh. We also went to Target and got a swimsuit for Abigail and I found a new bigger diaper bag. Yay! So now I'll spend the BabiesRUs giftcard on something else.
~Benjamin and Abigail shared a room for the first time last night. Benjamin didn't notice though because he fell asleep before Abigail and she woke up first. She didn't wake him in the middle of the night though. So that was nice.
~Today's plans are going to the zoo in Roanoke in the afternoon.
