Yesterday
was interesting....
I ended up resorting to using a time out and stuck Benjamin in the corner by the front door. He was climbing on the couch while I was nursing Abigail and wouldn't get down and was trying to whack his sister in the head. I haven't really had to use timeouts before because if you tell Benjamin no, he'll do whatever he's doing one more time and then he won't do it anymore. Silly kid. He was very distraught that I'd actually put him in the corner. He was a little bit upset with me for a little while afterwards trying to figure out what had happened.... Yeah....he's 2.....until now he really hasn't had consequences for his actions and it's time.
We also had a small success with getting closer to potty training. We could NOT get him to sit on the potty before. His daddy bought him Elmo's potty time DVD. He LOVES it. But I actually did get him to sit on his potty chair MULTIPLE times yesterday. Yes he did have his pants still up, but before he wouldn't even do that. I also got him to sit on it while just wearing a diaper. So we're getting closer....I also had him running around in a shirt and a diaper for a while. I might do that a bunch this summer while it's hot and might even just put him diapers without a cover so I'll know when he's wet and he'll really be able to feel it. We'll see.
He also had multigrain pasta for dinner last night, so there are some small victories here.
