Opening Weekend Basketball
This weekend was all about the b-ball. After James Taylor, the WWE, Cirque du Soleil, DMB, & Clapton, it was finally time for JPJ to show off why it was built. On Saturday, the men's and women's teams were introduced along with the coaches and followed by a performance by Earth, Wind & Fire. Sunday was game time. The women opened in the afternoon with a smackin of Old Dominion and the men took on 10th ranked Arizona that night.

This picture, according to Camille, sums up the show. Most big bands that have shrugged off the ticks of time and are still around after making it through the 70's (a-la the Stones, Springsteen, Aerosmith) have molded, for the better, with the times. Earth, Wind & Fire.....not so much.
As we were walking back home
Men's game Sunday. Free t-shirts in the seats and check out part of our $7 mil video system. (Most NBA arenas are within the $2-$5 million range)
Does your team break onto the court through ominous fog?
Or does your mascot repel from the rafters with the game ball?
What about Michael Buffer and "Let's get ready to rumble!"?
