This year was at Harpers Ferry, WV at the house of my aunt, uncle, 2 cousins, their 3 dogs (2 labs and a dalmation mix), parrot (a black-headed caique), and 5 ft iguana. 24 people added to the zoo and we spent two days there with enough food to feed an army and lots of fresh air.
My cousin Jon serving up the matzah ball soup. I think I had more of this that anything. Screw the damn turkey (of which we had 3).
The second table.
The three siblings.
The family tradition (from grandparent's generation) is to play Anagrams at the large gatherings. Though they claim their parent's could put everyone to shame, these are the big three that give people like me no hope.
From the back yard. Maryland to the left, Virginia to the right. I'm buying the house when they decide to retire and move. Seeing that when you wake up on the second floor or from the porch at sunrise/sunset makes it worth the cost.
Malcolm. Youngest of the three mutts. Notice the 2x4's holding up the porch roof. The columns will be back soon, but on a 200+ year old house the renovations never stop.
Part of the 20ft tiered waterfall in the back yard my Uncle has been putting together over the last couple years.
Walking to Maryland across ye olde B&O rail line, over the ye olde Potomac, next to the ye olde Shenandoah, and down to the ye olde C&O canal.
From the top of Maryland Heights.
St. Peter's. Doesn't quite live up to Rome.
Down the Potomac. On the bottom right is what remains of the C&O canal.
