Home from Hospital
wayfinder38 was allowed to return home today. I have talked to the Doctor, Home Health, and Hospice and thought everything was in place. wayfinder38did not seem quite as with it today as yesterday and now i know why.
When we got home I had him test his blood sugar before we ate dinner. It was 494 this is an incredibly high number and they should not have allowed it to get that high. The steroids are sending the glucose levels up but he was supposed to have his blood sugars checked and insulin administered. Part of why he did so well yesterday was his glucose was 134.
Hospice will be here tomorrow at 1 to do an assessment and get started. I expect we will have a big change in our routine around here and with company to boot. Just call me frazzled.
