Still Waiting

I decided to take a break from enumerating our woes. We did some exploring of El Paso and went to a movie. Monday we took our Bluebird back to the shop, they installed the new filter and then proceeded to do further analysis. The throttle sensor was bad just as the first code we got on the test transmission indicated. Now why couldn't the Allison Transmission shop in Irving, TX find this?
Tuesday we took the 'bird back to the shop at 8 a.m. in case they could find the sensor locally. No such luck, it is obsolete the replacement ships as a kit to convert 6 wires to 3 so it can be wired into our coach. The part has to be shipped from Portland, OR overnight air. So we go back to the shop again today.

The throttle sensor is under the electronic accelerator pedal and sends a signal both to the engine and the transmission. Who knew? I certainly didn't. I now have learned more about the workings of diesel vehicles than I ever aspired to.

Meanwhile many phone calls from MInnesota, laurelei is having difficulty bringing her blood sugar under control and is overwhelmed by all the Dr. appointments. She says no one asks how she is just how is the baby.

Today I saw the 3-D ultrasound of my great niece taken at 24 weeks. It was a cell phone camera picture of the original scan. Amazing what modern technology can do.
