Arcturus is a little golden mantled flying fox (Pteropus pumilus). Little golden mantled flying foxes are native to the Philippines where they dwell in the upper forest canopy. Although they are seldom hunted, this species is considered vulnerable throughout its range, primarily due to habitat loss. Little golden mantled flying foxes are one of the smaller flying fox species, being roughly the size of your hand. They are also one of the less colonial species, preferring to live individually (especially the males) or in small family groups. They only congregate together in larger numbers while feeding. They eschew agricultural regions when doing so, preferring undeveloped forest areas.
