I've been meaning to update for some time, but things have been pretty busy!
First off,
niquerio is finally an alumna of the University of Michigan:

That night we went to a fancy Italian restaurant in Troy. It was actually very nice, but I'm glad I wasn't paying --
niquerio's brother picked out some very pricy bottles of wine, two of which I enjoyed and one not as much. Her mother got not one but two cakes:

The cake made its way back to our house for a graduation party the next day. We made tons of food -- it's still not quite all gone, almost two weeks later. We had planned on freezing what we didn't eat, but a lot of the dishes we made, like potato salad and other rice and pasta-based things (with lots of veggies included) wouldn't have freezed all that well..
The main event of the party was the ceremonial burning of Monique's notes:

Strangely, some of the beer people brought seems to have disappeared..
I also started running a 4th edition campaign for our new D&D group:
niquerio,
lirelyn,
orogeny2000, Mariel, Summer and Gyuri. So far it's going pretty well and everybody seems to be having a lot of fun. We've had two sessions so far. The second one almost devolved into a Shopping Adventure to find a gift for the Kobold Chieftain, but our heroes escaped just in time to fight a rival band of kobolds and discover the secret dungeon under the crumbling manor.. I'm not entirely sure where the campaign will go, it's kind of up to what people want to do, but the basic flavour I want to have is one where magic is mysterious, subtle and strange. I don't think the current adventure has too much of that flavour, but I'm thinking some time in Faerie might serve our intrepid band well, especially since 4 out of the 6 players are elves or half-elves... I have a few adventure ideas, but I won't say too much here so I don't spoil it for the group!
As far as the garden goes, we got an
exciting lawnmower. It's very light, easy to push (I think almost easier than a gas lawnmower) and does a reasonably good job.
In the garden, I have spinach, arugula and onions coming up:
and Monday we'll be planting much more.
I have more hyacinth and exciting tulips blooming:

There's also a lot of wildflowers, some of which might be skullcap and some of which I haven't been able to identify:
Also, This past weekend, my mother was visiting her home town of Angola, IN, only a couple hours from Ann Arbor, so we went there to visit. Mostly was pretty relaxing -- We saw some of the places my mother went to as a young child, and went walking around some local parks and such and learned to identify some wildflowers.
Trillium!
Phlox:
And in case you haven't seen enough cute things today:

And right now I'm eating some Cran-Boat Crumble stuff made to use 6-month-old cranberry sauce that's been in the fridge since Thanksgiving. It smelled okay, I probably won't die!
