Interesting stuff
Well, so much is going on right now. I am in Tal Afar and I got to see my first live fire and mortar rounds up close when we got hit last night. No damage and nobody was killed, but they acquired four Iraqi POWs who were taken away this morning. I felt so bad for them. They were blindfolded and tied and they often stumbled over their dresses when being led to the choppers.
It got me thinking about how I would love to work in one of the prisons over here, as a contractor. I mean, they have AAFES in Abu Ghraib Prison, but who wants to work retail in a prison?
So I have definitely extended for another 6 months to stay here in Iraq and then after that, who knows? I have heard lots of good things about Abu Dhabi, the UAE, Pakistan. Perhaps I can go work there for another 6 mos or a year. LOL I can do this forever! I am being trained right now to be an Assistant Team Leader for Speicher, which is what I want to be doing.
Gods, only four days left if John keeps to his promise. Every night I say a prayer...
