However, it worked and that was what counted. It was through this system that Suou knew he'd entered a knew setting, checkered black and white floor and walls surrounding him and the cat. And then further in he "saw" Miss Urd there on the floor.
He paused at first, noticing the fog was somewhat lesser here--either that or suddenly he was seeing directly through Helios's eyes, which was a disconcerting idea--and he peered at the Goddess silently for a moment. He couldn't help but notice the troubled look on her face. Possibly misinterpreting, he rushed forward in the next instant and knelt down by her side.
"Urd-san! Are you all right, Urd-san?"

Suou glanced over his shoulder at the feline when Urd noticed him and then back to the Goddess. "His name is Helios. He's my... partner."
What better way to describe his 'other self', his Persona, whom he cherished almost more than anyone else. Helios's tail twitched behind him as he gazed down at the Goddess. His mouth was hidden beneath the old-fashioned cravat at his neck, but the golden eyes appeared to be smiling, or at least amused.

The police officer peered curiously as the angel appeared behind Urd. One could almost call the expression awe before he got a hold of it, and also as he realized it was incredibly like his own ability. How similar he was uncertain of. Helios didn't seem to think he was a Persona but ( ... )

That was a little stupid of him, he had to admit. But--he thought he could fix that along the way anyway. No reason to get worried, right?
"Since the day he discovered me some years ago--although in truth, his inner self has always been there, yes?" the feline answered with a twinkle in his eye.

"The plan... is to get you out of here safely," he said with a forced chuckle. "I think I remember the way back I came, so we'll go that way. If we bump into anyone along the way we'll rescue them, too. Okay?" Again he tried a soft smile.
The feline's tail continued to flicker around, now almost seemingly tracing circles and patterns into the air on purpose. "I would concur."

He began to reply, was tugged suddenly and forced to follow along at a quick pace, and his mouth shut itself for him with a small click and he hoped he hadn't just bitten his tongue and that was the cause of him loosing feeling towards it. Despite the awkwardness of his position, of being not only dragged about but touched in general, he managed to keep up and not become a burden. On top of that he made sure to steer the goddess with slight, subtle movements as if he were some human rudder.
Helios smiled beneath his cravat at World of Elegance for her statement. "And yet you have a set of wings but she does not." He paused to chuckle briefly but not long enough to give her chance to reply. "Yes, I am different. So are all the gods and goddesses, mythos and heroes, angels and demons that my partner can summon. But I am something reflective of his inner nature--or rather, his hidden pleasure. Or perhaps I am just a mockery of his ( ... )

He wouldn't pull any further although her tightened grip made him squirm a bit internally. Still, even he wasn't so oblivious to misinterpret (for the most part) her slight signs of discomfort and want of having him near. Mostly he just read it off as needing to offer her comfort and protection. He didn't quite get why, and in the long run that didn't matter to him, what did was that he try to hold himself up and appear to be fully in charge (even if he was getting drug along instead of physically taking the lead). He attempted to project confidence and reliability while he tried to make sense of which direction they were headed in and which they needed to be going ( ... )
