(01:10:56) Ephraim, King of Renais: Good evening, Princess Zelda
(01:11:08) Zelda, Princess of Hyrule: King Ephraim! Hello!
(01:11:23) Ephraim, King of Renais: How fares you this evening?
(01:11:38) Zelda, Princess of Hyrule: I seem to be just fine. How are you?
(01:12:51) Ephraim, King of Renais: Perfectly fine, considering the circumstances.
(01:13:21) Zelda, Princess of Hyrule: Oh, yes. That is quite accurate. Dare I ask who you were forced with?
(01:16:19) Ephraim, King of Renais: A friend of a friend. She's a high schooler so I am looking...a bit smaller than I am used to.
(01:18:23) Zelda, Princess of Hyrule: I see! It is not so terrible, is it?
(01:19:38) Ephraim, King of Renais: Not so much though I've had to postpone my spars until after the moon passes. What about yourself? I do believe that you've acquired my rival's form.
(01:22:48) Zelda, Princess of Hyrule: I have. It really doesn't bother me, though. He seems to be built like me and it is as I said before. He is skilled in archery, like myself, a worthy adversary for even me.
(01:32:33) Ephraim, King of Renais: I'm glad to hear that you've been managing the transformation well. However, I do find it a little disconcerting to see my rival in your form acting so...ungracefully.
(01:33:09) Ephraim, King of Renais: His persona certainly does not complement your appearance.
(01:34:55) Zelda, Princess of Hyrule: Well, he is a man. Men should not be so graceful as a woman. I am not so concerned over how he may be fairing in my form.
(01:43:10) Ephraim, King of Renais: Hm...now I'm curious to see you as King Innes.
(01:43:54) Zelda, Princess of Hyrule: Do you believe I would carry him with more... elegance then? This form does not bother me or hinder my plans.
(01:49:46) Ephraim, King of Renais: More than believe. I know. Regardless of appearances, I would still like to meet up with you this week if only for the novelty of this lunar event.
(01:51:03) Zelda, Princess of Hyrule: Lunar event? What... Oh... Do you mean the... What do you mean...?
(01:51:48) Ephraim, King of Renais: Oh, I meant the transformation and nothing more. I do believe that it is caused by the full moon...is it not?
(01:52:12) Zelda, Princess of Hyrule: I thought that was what you meant. I... really do not know much of the full moon in the least.
(02:01:37) Ephraim, King of Renais: During the past full moons, we've had a variety of effects ranging from falling in love, acting out hidden desires, to ghastly possession. This one however is tame compared to the others.
(02:03:00) Zelda, Princess of Hyrule: Oh... Perhaps that is the explanation to my prior desire to return home. That has, since, completely dissipated.
(00:00:28) Ephraim, King of Renais: I myself had a difficult time during the last moon. But this one has gone fairly well. Dare I say it, I even find it interesting to look at the world through another person's eyes.
(00:01:11) Zelda, Princess of Hyrule: As that should be, King Ephraim. Everyone needs to be able to see things through the eyes of others.
(00:09:44) Ephraim, King of Renais: Indeed that is true, though perhaps this is going a bit too far. No matter. I would like to walk about a bit as Miss Emi. I think it would be more helpful than simply holing myself in my room all week.
(00:10:22) Zelda, Princess of Hyrule: Then by all means do such. Though I cannot imagine going out in the midst of night is not entirely wise for the obvious reasons.
(00:17:06) Ephraim, King of Renais: I did promise Emi that I'll take good care of her body. When I do venture out, I would very much appreciate company, Princess Zelda.
(00:17:27) Zelda, Princess of Hyrule: ...Is this your way of asking that I join you, King Ephraim?
(00:18:32) Ephraim, King of Renais: Yes, you are correct.
(00:19:05) Zelda, Princess of Hyrule: It would be an honor. Where shall I meet you?
(00:24:58) Ephraim, King of Renais: Would you be interested in some ice cream at the Cyprus Creamery before we explore Aegean?
(00:26:04) Zelda, Princess of Hyrule: That sounds quite nice. If that is what you would like to do.
(00:28:49) Ephraim, King of Renais: It is. For some reason, I do have a craving for all things sweet.
(00:29:34) Zelda, Princess of Hyrule: I imagine it is likely the form you have.
(00:32:05) Ephraim, King of Renais: I think so too. But I really should freshen up and prepare for our outing.
(00:33:05) Zelda, Princess of Hyrule: Yes. I should really do the same. I look forward to see you.
It was probably a good idea for Ephraim to come out of the IM conversation so early. He had no idea how he was supposed to dress up for the occasion now that he was female. His goal now was not to look handsome, but to look pretty. Tapping into that aspect of himself felt...peculiar. In the end, he couldn't bring himself to wear a skirt, so he dressed in Emi's manner with a jacket and pants with a hat to complete the ensemble.
And so he waited at the park, curious as to how Zelda was going to carry herself as King Innes. As far as Ephraim knew then, she had never been male, so he imagined that the transformation would be an interesting change for the princess.
Innes's body was different than her counterparts. Not greatly, but enough that she knew it wouldn't be like being the Sheikah. That was all right, however. It was like an adventure. She didn't seem to mind, either, which showed through her speech and her amusement with how others were taking the situation. Some weren't very graceful and watching them act out of sorts was always greatly enchanting.
What she did have to admit, however, was that Innes had an impeccable sense of fashion. His regalia from wherever he had come from was quite distinct. Fancy trim, ruffles, golden bias, and perfectly sculpted jackets... He was quite perfect in some senses. She would not have minded spending additional time with him. To honor him, she chose to wear his typical garb when she met Ephraim outside.
"Am I late?" she asked in that typical Innes voice. How odd it would seem for such a man to sound -- that is, if she knew him.
"Oh, that is certainly not the case." Ephraim turned, smiling sweetly. "You look quite handsome by the way." Zelda was really the spitting image of Innes and if he hadn't known any better, he would have mistaken her for his friend. However, inside, she really was the same princess he had met at the rose garden.
It didn't seem she could resist any possibility of turning the slightest shade of pink in response to his kind words. Instead, she nodded very politely, as to acknowledge them. "Being a female seems to suit you. I did think you were quite pretty before, King Ephraim."
Then she looked a little surprised, "I have seen this female before. She is a student in Caspian, is she not?"
Ephraim replied politely, but even then, he couldn't hide his body's reaction to her words, a slight red to his cheeks. "So you thought I was pretty even before?" he chuckled. "Yes, she's a friend of a dear friend of mine. Miss Emi."
"Of course. Though 'pretty' is not a term for a man to hear or to have bestowed upon him. It only suits you in this form." She had no issues with being called 'handsome', however, most likely due to still having a grasp upon Sheik's mentality.
There was a brief pause and then she nodded, "I see. So she is a friend of a friend... How very nice that you should know of her personally then. I certainly hope she is treating you with the same care you have offered to her."
"She is. She has been most helpful during this period and likewise, she would only treat my body with the utmost respect," he nodded and noted Zelda's attire. Or Innes' rather. "And I see you've had contact with Innes. He has been keeping very good care of your body these past few days."
Zelda shook her head, "No. I have not, actually. It simply happened to be that awakening as him, I took the liberty of borrowing his apparel. I felt it would be more appropriate than anything I personally held for him." Unlike anyone else in Aegean, she had likely been prepared beforehand. Of course, she also knew Innes would not enjoy being stuck in something as tight as what Sheik wore.
"You do look the part, but your words are definitely less harsh than his." By now, he would have made a quip about Ephraim's appearance and femininity and tried to start something. "You are quite pleasant company, more so than he is," he said and offered his hand to take her to the creamery.
Once again, there was simply a smile. She really was nothing like the original Innes she supposed. Not that it mattered to her. She still felt like her, even in the body of someone else. Not that it mattered much changing between genders. Something told her she shouldn't exactly share that information with others, however...
She allowed Ephraim, even in his feminine state, to take her hand. "Perhaps I should make it look less odd." And with that said, she took his hand, curled it around her arm and straightened out Innes's tunic to escort her companion. "You can tell me which way to go and I will escort."
"Oh," Ephraim said mildly surprised as Zelda took his arm. How strange it was to be on the other end for a change... His cheeks reddened as he was pulled against the princess. "I believe we were to go to get some ice cream. I would gladly appreciate that."
"I know," Zelda replied as she looked down to him. "I do not go out and about."
That wasn't entirely true. She did go out. She couldn't exactly say that, though, and in all honesty, she was only there for the shadows at night. The ones she couldn't quite identify.
"As a result, I will need you to guide me. You may use phrases and landmarks, as I am vaguely familiar with the map of Aegean's territory."
"Alright, princess. First down this road then we'll make a left at the Alboran Coast Highway. Let's continue until we see the shop to our left." Princess Zelda certainly took charge of the situation and didn't seem to be bothered at all with this apparent role switch. In a way, Ephraim was impressed. She was strong in a sense and wasn't simply a damsel in distress.
Zelda had never once considered herself a damsel in distress. Well, not until the fated moment when Ganondorf realized she had betrayed him. Then she grew concerned and was pulled as bait to call upon Link. She worried for him, for her counterpart, for the man she believed to be her other half.
The thought left her was a sour taste upon her tongue, and her expression darkened for a moment, likely looking more like Innes than anything else. Then she turned her attention back onto Ephraim and follow his instruction to a 't'. She wasn't bad when it came to following others, whether verbally or literally. Her silence reigned until they actually reached the creamery.
Then she smiled, the same smile she'd given before, "All right. Here we are, King Ephraim. Correct?"
Ephraim sensed that something was amiss judging from the expression upon the princess's face. It was the mark of that everlasting scowl that always seemed to be etched into Innes's face. However, he did not feel that he had the right to intrude nor did he find any way to break that silence between them.
The shop came into view and Zelda finally spoke much to Ephraim's relief. "Yes, this is exactly it." He turned, smiling, perhaps a little giddy from excitement. His body had been waiting for a sugary treat for awhile and he really couldn't restrain himself.
She released his arm and approaching the door, she held it open for him. Zelda, personally, was not familiar with ice cream or any of the various flavors she was about to encounter. "Well, let us go then. No matter how we change, the evening does not, and neither do the things that come with the black of the night." Likely he knew that already. And surely whoever he was stuck as wouldn't appreciate being out in the midst of oblivion either.
Ephraim curtsied in response to Zelda's courtesy as he felt that it was the proper thing to do and entered the store before taking her arm again. He was practically bouncing, light on his feet as he led them over to the counter to marvel at the different flavors of ice cream. "Princess Zelda, have you ever tried ice cream before?" he asked.
There was something a little strange about escorting him through a shop. She personally thought she could get away with simply taking him there, taking him back, and then letting him wander on his own inside of the actual creamery. Yet, there he was, on her arm, like a clinging female. Well, not that she really knew what that was like. She wasn't clingy at all. She liked being independent and having her own control.
She shook her head at him. "No. Hyrule does not exactly have things like that. Not that I recall. The castle town market may have had something similar. Is it common in Renais?"
"It is a most wonderful confectionery item here in Aegean. It's not native to my land either, but the taste will speak for itself. Since you have been so kind as to accompany me here, this will be my treat."
She began to protest and then she stopped herself. If he wanted to, then he was allowed to, right? She nodded to him, wordless for a few moments, then she released his arm to take a look at what they had. Confectionery items... Like the bakery sweets the town served. "Hm... What do you recommend?"
"Is there a particular flavor that you're partial to? There's a wide variety here, though I tend to gravitate towards the fruit flavors. But as you can see, you have plenty of choices no matter what your preferences are. Whatever you choose, I'm sure it will be enjoyable"
