OUR DELAYING TACTICS RULE AT LIFE :D
I. Am. So. Happy? aingeal_isilme, nescienx, ranchelle and Pan were over today, and we watched the Limited Edition FFAC. My fangirl heart almost leapt out of me when I was being shown the AC cut scenes and trailers, and there is a cut scene where Kadaj holds Rufus's hand. MADE MY ENTIRE DAY. Many, many thanks! *beams* ranchelle and Pan seemed to be utterly amused by my OH MY GOD! KADAJ IS HOLDING RUFUS'S HAND! reaction. And there was an official translation of an extended FFAC trailer and THE TRANSLATION IT WAS SO GOOD? I don't even know how a character's line can say exactly the same thing and yet be translated in an entirely different way that gives so much more meaning to the scene? Where Kadaj and Cloud have their final confrontation after the motorbike chase of Extreme Prettiness and Numerous Fireworks, Kadaj's line, "I am a puppet... Just like you used to be!" was translated as, "I am a puppet... just like you!" Somehow the lines just have more impact and intensity when translated this way. And Rude's answer to Reno, when they were fleeing Bahamut and Reno asked, "Is he chasing us?" was changed from, "I don't want to look" to a "Why don't you ask him?" retort. (Maybe not quite accurate, but WAY FUN.) And I owe aingeal_isilme and ranchelle's explanations to the sliiiightly better understanding of FF7 canon I now possess.
And also Pan is wonderful and really funny! *beams*
Watched Meine Liebe with aingeal_isilme and nescienx... and we saw FFAC EVERYWHERE. Such as Ludwig being a cross between Sephiroth and Tseng. (And HEY YOU OUT THERE, YES YOU who SHOULD BE RESTING, Dead Elf and I were wondering if you named your doll after THIS Ludwig, 'cause HIS name shortens to Lui, too.) And Orphe and his dead sister have an Out of Body Experience totally similar to Cloud and Aeris, down to the FIELD OF FLOWERS and the whole "You're all right now? You can't stay here..." And Eduard = Reno, down to the earring. xD (ONE of us is VERY observant when it comes to Reno. *wink*)
aingeal_isilme and nescienx stayed for dinner and I learned more about Lost than I ever knew. nescienx fished squid tentacles out of her soup and Isil and I were "SEPHIROTH." XD An FFAC dinner-table discussion with my parents and brothers resulted after Gwendal! sibling asked, "What did you watch all day? Please tell me it wasn't Final Fantasy?" My dad described Cloud-tachi's attack on Bahamut as "Everyone bouncing on each other" which sent me into hysterics. (I am very easily amused where fandoms are concerned - the last time I was out with my friends from my pre-slash days, and I told them about KKM, we were going to the restrooms and they said, "I am off on a great adventure!" and "See you in the other world!" as they went in. Have you ever seen a maniac laughing hysterically in a public washroom? One of them just might be me.)
Our dining table talk is the-three-of-us-who-get-slash and the rest of my family. Sometimes my family will say things that the three of us GET as being FUNNY in rather questionable ways, or we'll talk to each other as we normally would, and at this my brother's brows will be resembling Gwendal's, again, because he is all ...THIS IS SCARY at us. I was telling them about how I was writing FFAC fic on the train from China to Hongkong, and the far too old middle-aged man next to me seemed to be taking an UNHOLY interest in what I was writing, because he was PEERING over at my paper and I was... I do not want to risk him being able to understand what I am writing, and WHY I AM WRITING vaguely wrong Cloud and Reno on a TRAIN FROM CHINA?!
And sibling was expressing his incredulity over JKRowling's writing, and I was >;O DON'T INSULT MY FANDOM. And he was, "... Fandom? Your fandom? ... Don't tell me. It has rampant slash." And I was... Ahahaha if you only knew how right you were.
We ended up talking until Isil's parents came, and we DEPLOYED OUR SUPER-DELAYING TACTICS THAT ALSO INVOLVED MY PARENTS AND A MOVING CAR. XD
And also, You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be and I don't wanna go home right now. ♥ Isil SO MUCH?
