(no subject)
This post makes 3 in one day... which tells me that I CLEARLY need to go to bed. I believe that in my last entry I briefly mentioned Caty and I going to see Wicked, but it occurred to me that I had never really posted about this. So.... Wicked is at the Kennedy Center in DC this summer and as soon as the tickets went on sale I purchased some for us. I thought that it would be something that Caty would REALLY enjoy, and I have never seen it. We have tickets to go see it on August 10, which is 2 weeks after her 9th birthday. Unfortunately, on her birthday I will be in Arizona for a work conference and she is terribly upset that I won't be in town for her big day. I decided that for our night at Wicked that I would book a stay in a 4 star hotel and we could get dressed up and go to a super fancy dinner.... sort of as a way to make it up to her that I wouldn't be here for her birthday but also just to do something really special for both of us. Who doesn't like to dress up like a princess and stay in an awesome hotel?!? I reserved a room for us at the Hotel Palomar (www.hotelpalomar-dc.com/). Caty got a really cute dress to wear and I will wear my long black gown. We haven't decided yet where we will dine... there are plenty of amazing restaurants in DC to choose from! We can't wait! :)
