Reflections and some fic

Is it just me or do birthdays feel more and more like any other day the higher the number gets? Special years like forty or fifty excepted, of course. I'm twenty-one as of Wednesday, but for all my mother's insistence that this is a highly important birthday, I don't feel it. Perhaps because many of the "landmarks" of such a birthday don't really ( Read more... )

Aaaahhh!! Yay!!! anonymous October 21 2007, 04:10:50 UTC
This is SUCH a welcome relief from the stress of applying for scholarships and universities. It's like, well, not a breath 'cause it's too long for that... how 'bout a 'blast' of fresh air? Does that work? haha ( ... )

Ouch, application season? *checks calendar* Yes, that's right, I remember. Good luck, hope it doesn't become too stressful. If you have any applications- or college-related questions, feel free to ask ( ... )

I just finished sealing the envelope of my first (finally) completed application. And I keep feeling like I've forgotten something... It's really not what I was expecting to feel finally being completely finished (you know, relief, giddiness.... but not worry!) Ah well, all I can do now is wait! Soon I'll have to start on my Canadian schools, they open for applications starting in November for the most part, so I kind of part feel like I'm falling behind in my applications to schools in the States (the one I was applying to will give me a $750 fee waiver if they get my application by the 26th of this month) and way ahead of all the schools in Canada. Anyway, I wasn't meaning to ramble on about that for quite so long... Oh, one semi question, if they say your personal statement must be at least 200 words, is 630ish too many? haha ( ... )

Hah, guess that means I should begin editing and finally finish up the very last part. *makes note* This will probably be the first piece of writing where I edit fairly substantial portions out; usually it's quite the opposite. And I'll have to decide how to space it out, hm. Long scenes are very inconvenient for this....

Five days left!!
Hah, that's right! Little nudges (or big nudges as the case may be...) are for motivating you to work fast!

Cut things out? Oh no! We're losing part of it now! I suppose I shall have to entrust that your editing skills will give us as good as a piece as ever (as if there's any doubt!)

I don't suppose it'd be possible to get the story by Wednesday? I'm leaving early Thursday for the weekend and will probably not be able to get on the internet. If that's not possible, then a cookie would be luverly!!!
