I'm 26/m, my sister is 19/f
My sister lives with her boyfriend in a run-down apartment in Minneapolis. Recently she was physically abused, beaten up by him. Neighbors called the police, and he went to jail for a couple weeks. When he got out of jail, my sister went against her own advice from her previous relationship, and got back together with him.
My sister also hangs out with a bad crowd and is easily influenced. She is very co-dependent, even she admits that she "can't be alone."
She got a very decent job this new year, and she's already been fired from it because she neglected it.
It's very frustrating because she doesn't have to live like this, she has a choice, and she choses to live this lifestyle.
I don't know if there's anything I can do about it, or what I could do. My parents try, but she doesn't listen to them really.
