OH boy, have I changed from 18. I'm 23 years old and I've been through military training, full time work on salary, failed college attempts, getting fired, getting academically suspended, getting married, getting divorced, getting married again, having a baby, getting deployed to Iraq, having to support my youngest sister who's 5 years younger than me, buying a house, buying 4 cars, financial success, financial failure, giving my dad thousands of dollars so he can stay afloat as he hops from hotel to hotel. You just never know what will happen to you in life and I feel much more in touch with my self and my identity. I was like _insanity_lost, I went through a lot of things up until 18, I was the oldest and I was way more mature than my ex husband who was 4 years older than me, had an easier life and was the baby. But he was more experienced than me in typical adult things, and my experiences made me develop into a person that had outgrown him. My advice to you, having been in a similar situation, is don't let him belittle you, even unintentionally, or make you feel insecure about your lack of experience. Go out and get your experience and become whatever person your supposed to become, or else you might end up in trouble if you decide to stay together.
