I really need to put this out there and get some feedback, because I'm really confused and have no one to talk to. I would be VERY thankful to anyone who can take the time to offer some insight or talk to me about this ( Read more... )

He's the only one who can decide what's best for him. You would be better off making choices and decisions based on what's best for YOU.

At 22, very few people know much of anything about what's best for them. I sure as hell didn't, and I've got a set of divorce papers to prove it. ;-)

I am sure you did the right thing... something led you to make that decision. Now you just need to trust it. If you live the relationship like things will get better... that will be the relationship... always hoping it gets better but never really does.
Better to quit wasting time. If it is meant to be you guys will get back together in the future.

Your decision is good. This relationship has too many problems within it, and you're not currently in a position to be able to do major relationship-fixing work when you need to focus on working on yourself and getting your life into shape. If your life were going well, then maybe fixing the relationship would be worth the effort, but right now concentrating your time and effort on working on your depression and getting your life in order is far more important ( ... )
