That makes a lot of sense to me. I should have figured it was a difference between adding more myofibrils within existing myocytes or new sarcomeres within a myofibril and differentiating more stem cells into myocytes.

Thanks, that gives me an excellent starting point. I'll post back if I find any good articles about it.

There was a good article posted on the topic of muscle development and minimization of fat storage. I believe it is a few threads below your initial post. It is called Cycle Dieting and has to do with a technique for amplifying natural production of growth inducing hormones. Here is a direct link:

My bio talk is a little rusty, but a lot has to do with the dialation of the blood vessels. I don't want to go into depth because I'd probably say something wrong, but this may also be a good area to look into as you research. Good Luck.
