Stitchy question

Does anybody who reads this know a lot about free-pattern cross-stitch? Because the Tetris heart pattern was 58 stitches across, and came out around 6x4in. The next one I want to do, however, is 242 stitches across, and I would really rather it not be 25 inches wide - that's just too enormous. The count of the aida is how many stitches per inch, so you should be great with 18, which would make the image itself 13.4 inches wide. I've stitched on 18 and it wasn't that much harder than 14 or 16. I've heard 22 count is difficult, but your mileage may vary. :) I'm no expert, though, this is just what I've read. The pig I stitched for Sarah came out at exactly the size it should have done on 16 count, so in theory the system works...
