"Recline yourself, resign yourself, you're through"

Despite getting up later than I have in months today (2pm O_o;), I feel like I've been productive! This is primarily because I made a recipe I'd never done before for dinner (breaded porkchops) and it was really pretty good. I have also managed NOT to spend idiotic amounts of time messing with my icons, even though I cleared out 15 slots yesterday in preparation (and have only refilled 4 of them with new icons). And I bought train tickets to go visit elyndys early next week, booked a hostel to stay in those nights, and we discussed what shows we should go see! XD It's all shaping up well.

I didn't go to the department office like I maybe should have done to get my marks (if not my work), but I've emailed the lady who runs the office and told her I'll be by in the morning. And it actually will be morning, because I'm planning to go by as soon as I'm done at the doctor's, my appointment for which is at 10 (ouch >_<).

Tomorrow will be exciting and full - I will be at the doctor's, then at the department, then at SSiD, and after that possibly at the mall, because I desperately need a jump on my Christmas shopping (mostly ideas/stuff for my siblings...and also my mother). I anticipate spending most of the next few days there and/or downtown because, well, I really need to get this stuff done.

I find out on Wednesday if I can go to the Leeds Thought Bubble Comic Book Convention on Saturday (because of transportation issues, I'm not sure I'd want to mess with it on my own - I vaguely remember how to walk from the station to the museum, but not well enough to just go cold turkey as it were).

Linkspam! Via _kyri (tbh, basically all just lifted from her last entry), I thought people might enjoy Obama described as a Mary Sue and Melissa Etheridge remarking about Proposition 8 (beware the comments, as usual). Also, ohnotheydidnt lists the 26 Most Disturbing Kids' Movies Ever - almost perfectly accurate. For completeness's sake, _kyri's last post also inspired me to download The Big Bang Theory - I'd seen a couple of episodes earlier this year, and I liked it, but felt the geeks weren't written by a real geek insider. Maybe I'll have judged it wrongly (I hope so - it looks like a lot of fun XD).

Man, now I wish there was more porkchop - or at least more of the breading on it. Surprisingly delicious! XD
