Today was highly productive, all before the time I usually get up.
I saw the doctor at 10, told her my issue, and we developed a potential solution. I'm hopeful. By 10:15 I was in the department office, asking for my marks etc. I got my dissertation back (65 for the curious (that's like mid-range B) and found out I passed the course "with merit," which I am assured is very good! XD I'm guessing it's a lot like how I ended up doing in undergrad - well, but not as well as I would have done if I'd tried a bit harder sometimes XD
After that I went to SSiD, where they told me I can't have a letter of status until the end of the month because whatever marks I got from the department "are probably provisional" and there's some sort of rigamarole they have to go through to finalize everything but who cares XD They'll send out a letter with the results then, so that'll be waiting for me when I get back from Thanksgiving etc. Which is good because I don't need to send it anywhere until January, so I'll be good and prepared. Which is what I like to be.
I had thought maybe I'd go to the mall today to get started on my shopping, but I couldn't manage to be stirred to do it. Instead I finished Drowned Ammet, have read the first couple of pages of The Spellcoats, but can't muster any enthusiasm to keep reading tonight. I have also played all but 10 of my free puzzle games of Snood (but that still leaves 90 free levels of Journey, 100 each of Hard, Evil, and Armageddon, and unlimited Easy and Child. It's excellent for empty-brain time).
Also I totally just got distracted for like forever by
an article about the e-waste trade in China and basically how horrible it is for the people reduced to working in it D:
I have therefore forgotten everything else I planned to say. Whoops~!
PS Metal covers are frequently hilarious and unexpected: today I have heard fully metal-ized covers of both Wind Beneath My Wings (yes, the Bette Midler one) and Barbara Ann by the Beach Boys. I lol'd XD
