offloading

I'm not becoming Miss Thing-a-Day, I swear to god. I'd never get past the first two days before deciding I needed to learn silicone casting or something. (Which, duh.)

Things I should do tonight:
-Make tea
-Make dinner for the next couple of days

You've probably already thought of it, but is food-grade insufficient? (I am curious if there are technical reasons. Complicating factors FTW!)

Edit 2: oh. I suspect food-grade silicone would be an acceptable thing to cast into, but you need something else formable but nontoxic to serve as the mold negative, right? Thinking about moldmaking kind of makes my head hurt.

Edit 3: it occurs to me that this is a perfect application of additive RP machines, if you can use one with a fine enough grain (which the consumer RepRap/Makerbot ones are not.)
