When: The night the fire starts, before Lestat finds Armand.

Summary: Stealing is a survival instinct for kid's like Luca, and not one he's going to ignore if it means he and the others in Solve not starving after the chaos. But add friendship with a vampire and a lack of fear of dying, and we figure out that Luca is kind of dumb in a well-intentioned away. Good thing revival is only a few seconds right now.
Admittedly, Luca felt bad. He had, after all, promised Al that he would stay with Break where it was safe. But Brother had always told him surviving came first, and survival didn't involve just safety. It involved food and clothing and stuff for when you got hurt. So, before he could really be concerned about being safe, he had to get stuff so he and al and Ed and Rachel and Negi and whoever else was living with them now could survive. After all, Luca knew how people were. When all this was over, people would turn greedy. No one would share anything with anyone else and people would die.
And he wasn't going to let that happen to the people in Solve. He liked them.
Nonetheless, his pace is slow, Luca still tired from being woken in the middle of the night. Even with his shoes tightly laces, he's not used to walking in the dark and stumbles a good bit.
And when he catches the sound of what sounds like something walking in the distance, he stumbles to a stop, standing shock still.
