Characters: Cecilia the witch and her opponents
When: The entirety of Walpurgisnacht
Where: The entire Southeastern Quarter
Rating: R, for violence, character death, mentions of suicide, starvation, abuse, etc.
Summary: Adstring fights the unicorn witch

[When one steps even a foot into the Southeastern quarter, a sense of gloom and despair hits them like a wave. Color has been drained from the entire area, leaving the space awash in dull grays, reds, and blacks, the sun blotted out by thick clouds. Sparse, leafless trees line the area in neat rows, figures hanging by the neck from each of the branches. They twitch, gasp- but don’t react to those near them. Trash accompanies the trees, surrounding their bases in large circles, composed of mostly food waste; apple cores, chip bags, candy wrappers, chicken bones. It smells distinctly of rotting flesh.]

[The lined trees lead you to an empty city, devoid of any life or color. In the distance, the sound of splashing water rings out, but there seems to be nothing moving. You feel something tug at your clothes, but the sound of footsteps running away quickly sounds when you turn around. Signs line the area, their boards damaged and dirty but still legible.]

[As you venture further out, crosses replace the trees. Crosses upon crosses line your path, to the point where there remains but a couple meter wide path without them that forces you forward, or backward, for that matter.]

[Off in the distance is a large church, crumbling at it’s pillars but still standing impressively. It looms over the space- in this area, no matter how far away you get, it seems to always seems to remain in the same spot, drawing you into it. It feels as if something is tugging on your neck, pulling you forward and toward it. You simply must continue forward.]

[It’s at this point that strange creatures begin to truly show up, though they have been sparsely occupying the surrounding area. Thousands and thousands of them surround you, mumbling strange, alien words and jerking in unnatural motion.]

[They turn to you, surrounding you, frantically moving in that unnatural motion, pushing you forward into the the church- you simply must go.]

[The church is bigger, much bigger on the inside than it appeared. Broken stain glass windows filter in the gray light, and the strange creatures occupy the pews. Voices rise in ethereal song, the source of which is not clear. It’s useless, you feel useless, there’s no escaping this place. This is the end. This feels like the end. ]

[And then the horrible, horrible monster in the uppermost portion of the church stares you down, her grin unceasing as she knocks down the massive pile of rotting food that surrounds her. She screams, stomping her starved arms and thrashing about. The smaller creatures turn to you-]

[And all of them smile.]

[The battle is on.]

[ooc: ok! This log will be organized by threads for each area. Tag in as you feel, and for the final battle please try to organize yourselves into groups. If you need help, please contact me! Again, killing Cecilia will not happen until the last day- for the first two days, it will be merely fighting her and the familiars until the is sufficiently weakened. Please post what day you are setting your thread in the subject line!]

[Have fun, and please tag in with your character!]
