Where: Faizes' Generator
Rating: PG
Summary: Urahara and Sokka , having decided to move forward with the generator project after the departure of Faize, are near completion.
Empty bowls, half-written notes, too-cold cups of watered-down, makeshift tea. The main work area was trashed, but it was an obvious sign of men at work. The generator was an important project, especially if Adstringendum was ever going to be acceptable place of residence for anyone. As it stood, the amenities in the city were few and far between; any improvement to the terrible wasteland would likely be welcomed by all.
Sokka rarely felt useful, even if he and Urahara somehow managed through whatever they needed to rig to make things work. The young tribesman considered himself something of an engineer thanks to his time spent designing with The Mechanist back home, but in the face of a ton of modern machinery and electronics, he felt he hardly scratched the surface of helpfulness outside of his ability to think outside the box just a little bit.
Leave it to Sokka to worry over something so inane, even on the eve of completion. He plugs his ears, the sound of moving machinery becoming too much, and when it finally dies down, he gives the other man a thumbs up. "That's working now, at least... What did you end up doing? Changing out those washers? It sounds great," he finished, obviously amused.
