Summary: Naraku hunts down Hiten after he's mostly recovered from his fight with Sesshoumaru. Hiten then receives unlikely aid.
Naraku wasted no time once his trick worked. Hiten was painfully predictable, doing exactly what he would have expected of every other demon unfortunate enough to catch his attention. After Naraku's fight with Sesshoumaru, Naraku was pleasantly surprised at the Daiyokai's power, and how he was impossible to absorb. Though neither combatant walked away from that fight unscathed, hearing about Kikyo's suffering at the hands of Hiten drove the far-too-powerful-to-be-called-a-hanyou hanyou into a frenzy.
The hanyou had predicted the general area where the thunder demon was, and dispatched a swarm of Saimyosho carrying a severed head of one of Naraku's puppets to the area. Knowing the demon would gain a fleeting satisfaction from killing them, he immediately knew where he was once the severed caught sight of the thunder demon. He was actually disappointed at how perfectly his plan worked; but he was not going to complain.
Those who would be in the general area would notice a large, purple cloud floating over the city, accompanied by a legion of Saimyosho. The massive cloud gracefully floated over the cityscape, corroding any building that came into contact with it (ooc: no, nobody's home or potential home was damaged, don't ruin my dramatic flair!) as if they were hit by a tidal wave of acid. The cloud, moving much to fast for it to be carried by the wind, was making a beeline for where Hiten had shot down the Saimyosho from before. As Naraku arrived on the scene, the miasma forked outwards, forming a veritable wall around the entire area, trapping Hiten inside like a rat. And there, from the inside of the miasma, stepped out Naraku, clad in armor from Moryomaru's shell, tendrils spilling out of his body like a medusa's hair. In secret, the body underneath the armor had gashes all over it, miasma spilling out from the inside, but kept inside by the armor. It was a temporary fix to Naraku's need to heal from his battle with the Daiyokai, but it would suit the purpose. Hiten was a weak enough demon already, but after his fight with Kikyo, it would be a walk in the park.
