"Both." He kept his attention on the wall, though he seemed as unbothered as ever. "Monsters out there...mutants in here."

He stepped forward, trusting Gabriel to follow. "How long has she been 're-graced'?" He'd been busy. Don't count on Satan to keep track of the days.

"Ohhh. Smells like a B-movie," Gabriel sing-songed, following Lucifer without even a trace of concern- what was out there was not scarier than his brother and that wasn't a starry-eyed little brother's fantasy, either. Lucifer was just that fucking terrifying.

"Long enough," he shrugged. "Why?"

What would Gabriel do without tv here? Lucifer didn't even bother asking; he'd be finding out soon enough.

"I wonder how annoyed she'll be." He sounded as if he found the thought amusing, of course, because as Gabriel had just noticed there was nothing out there for Lucifer to fear. Not even their irate little sister.

Replay his entire DVD collection in his head, of course. Thank you, angelic photographic memory. Also, he could just find jerks and make them recreate TV shows for his amusement while they learn valuable lessons. But that's neither here nor there.

"Worried she's gonna backhand you?" Gabriel said, snidely. He caught the amusement, so the words were said with some amount of irony and sarcasm. God, sometimes it was actually kind of infuriating how fearless Lucifer was. He admired it and yet, at the same time, it made him want to punch him in the face.

....Not that Gabriel wasn't equally fearless or, at least, pretended to be. Not much could touch an archangel, after all.

Lucifer gave him a wry smile. "Anna isn't that stupid." Not stupid enough to try to take Lucifer on head-to-head. Or literally try to stab him in the back, for that matter.

But his good humor returned in a moment and you could almost forget he was Satan. "I can't believe you haven't thought up any lessons to teach the mortals here."

Gabriel sighed and, in the tone of an exasperated adult who has been asked 'are we there yet' for the umpteenth time, said, "Lucifer, I've been outta the game for a few months- laying low and all that crap. I'm working up to it. Plus they have to actually do something to piss me off first. I don't just draw names out of a hat, y'know."

He eyed the Wastes, rather than his brother. Well, they lived up to their name. Instinct made him want to draw his sword, except that he wasn't all that good with it. He was better at the telekinesis-and-run approach or the send zombie clowns with chainsaws while he got out of Dodge.

Lucifer had a few names for him, but he knew Gabriel would hardly take his word for it. He paused to pick a direction (it wasn't as random as it seemed; he could see the faintly glowing hulk of their sister off the horizon) and gestured.

"While we're on the topic of games," he paused again, this time to stomp a flesh-eating rabbit out of existence before it could bite one of them, "How are you with poker?"

Gabriel stopped, his expression suddenly shifting to one of absolute confusion. The smashed rabbit lay in front of him like an homage to a Monty Python film.

"I've won my share of hands," he said, slowly, stepping over the animal's dead body and meandering back up to his brother. "But if your poker games go as well as your tea parties, I'm gonna have to buy a seat at a less crazy table."

Lucifer wasn't even sure he wanted to try the game. Sure, he knew how to play, but it wasn't like he'd spent time in the cage flipping cards with Lilith. It was an opportunity, though, and one he probably shouldn't pass up.

But he didn't really want to play a game with Tyki and Break if Gabriel wasn't there. Call him clingy or paranoid, but he had his reasons. The big one was that he knew Gabriel was a nasty cheat and if Allen showed up...they'd need a cheat.

"Gabriel, Gabriel," he sighed. "Haven't I told you never to play the same trick twice? Without any humans at the table, it's just a game."

"And I don't, but you're a little limited and kinda one-track-minded, Lulu. A guy's gotta be sure." He glanced up at his brother. "What're the stakes?"

Because if humans were going to be present than obviously something was up here. Call him paranoid, but he didn't like the idea of Lucifer, gambling, and humans all rolled up into one package.

Lulu? That got a sharp look and something like a few wasps tossed stinger-first at him.

"The stakes are shots of alcohol, I believe." He sounded as if he couldn't imagine the reasoning for it. "Xerxes Break has made a contract with the Abyss. Tyki...." Is Tyki, his shrug seemed to say.

"Ow." Gabriel pawed at his face like an agitated cat. "Jerk," he hissed under his breath before perking up and then tilting his head, because... Man, he sure didn't understand a damn bit of that sentence.

"And making contracts and luau decorations have to do with poker because....? You don't even drink."
