Raven curses as flames appear in front of each of the doors. Another dream. Someone else's mind. Yet she has no idea who that "someone" is. She reads the riddle on the scroll and then looks back at the bottles on the table. The puzzle seems easy enough to solve, assuming the owner of this dream can be trusted. Either drink the third bottle to go forward, or the seventh to go back. She ponders this a moment before taking the seventh bottle in hope to get out of here and swallowing its content in one gulp.

When the flames are behind her, the first thing that greets Raven is the music filling the room, bouncing off the black marble and echoing around her, drifting up to the domed ceiling before slowly fading away to make room for the next strains coming from the cello. And who should be playing the cello but one Severus Snape, clad only in a pair of black trousers, a white dress shirt, and a green vest, his usual black robes no where to be seen.

He looks oddly relaxed for those who are familiar with the stern, scowling, unpleasant man, what with the top two buttons of the shirt being undone and the sleeves rolled up to his elbows instead of being cuffed at his wrists. The Dark Mark is only barely visible against his pale skin from the angle that the door is placed, leaving the presented scene untainted with its stain as gold notes dance around the room before floating down towards Raven, swirling around her gently, invitingly, a hint of warmth coming off from them, a start contrast to the man who is usually so cold and uninviting.

Raven's first reaction is to be disappointed because she's not out of the dream. She's not awake yet. But this feeling doesn't last. As soon as she hears the music, her eyes drift shut and there's a soft smile upon her lips. This cello piece appeals to her and eventually has her open her eyes to look at the player. Severus. She doesn't know him very well, she mostly remembers him from the last event. When he was her half-brother, just like Horst.

She's not really phased by his relaxed attitude or outfit. However she's far more puzzled by the gold notes swirling around her. She doesn't dare touching them but they feel so warm and inviting... So she holds out one hand palm up waiting to see if one of those notes will come rest into her palm.

It does, slowly swaying down in time to the music to nestle into her palm. And the minute it does so, the room around them comes to life. A small Severus of around five or six years old maybe can be seen slowly making his way down a street, away from the polluted, darkly murky town behind him in the distance, the one from which the smell of a dirty river drifts over from. It's clear that he's running away from something, for there's a ferocious scowl on the little boy's face, an amusing thing to see on someone so young, but the remnants of tears aren't so amusing, though they've mostly dried by now as he kicks a rock in front of him ( ... )

Raven silently follows the boy until his stops in front of the musician. She comes to stand next to Severus and listen to the cello piece.

"It's truly beautiful, isn't it?" She says out lout after a little while.

Oh LJ... one day, people are going to murder you, then what are we all going to do? snarkypotions March 18 2011, 08:13:50 UTC
The Severus doesn't seem to notice her, first hiding behind a lamppost, eyes fixed on the cello, before slowly being drawn out by the music, edging out from behind it. Course, he soon noticed that he was out in the open, causing him to duck behind a mailbox, only slowly approaching the musician when the elderly man smiled over at him kindly and waved him over with the bow ( ... )

Create LJ II or something? - That certainly won't stop us from RPing! feel_nevermore March 18 2011, 10:13:07 UTC
Raven shrugged as he didn't reply. Okay, so obviously he couldn't hear her. After all, this made sense since she had chosen the door to go back to safety, she was certainly entitled to only watch whichever safe memories Severus kept here. And honestly she didn't mind, she had her share of traumas, she didn't need to add others' on top of it.

She watched the scene with an amused expression on her face and chuckled when the small boy thought he had broken the cello just because he hadn't been able to get a good note on his first try.

We're certainly a force to be reckoned with! snarkypotions March 20 2011, 22:32:57 UTC
Her amusement seemed to be matched by that of the musician's as he laughed quietly to himself before reaching for Severus's hand, holding the small one is his large one and slowly drawing it across the strings, guiding and showing him how to pull out a strong, unwavering note, a note that continued on and merged with the rest of the song as the memory faded out.
