It was beautiful.

Rachel had no idea where she properly was, but for the time being, she didn't really care. It was a gorgeous castle in the middle of a seemingly beautiful world -- what more could a girl want?

Though for the time being, curiosity was getting the better of her. She didn't want to go prying open doors and making a mess of things, but...

"Hello?"

Rachel better dodge quickly upon opening the door, because a goblet hits the wall hard right next to her. Standing in front of her are two annoyed young men: Merlin and Arthur.

"What makes you think that you can just say the things you do? Do the things you do?"

"What are you even talking about--"

"You know exactly what I'm talking about, Merlin. How many times have you thrown yourself in harm's way for me? I don't care that I'm the crown prince. You hardly treat me like one anyway, you insubordinate git ( ... )

The goblet hitting the wall nearly causes Rachel to shriek, but her hands fly to her mouth to stifle the sound once she realizes who is in the room.

She relaxes minutely once she sees Arthur -- she hasn't had much of an opportunity to speak to Merlin, but Rachel supposes he's a safe enough individual -- but the conversation bothers her.

What could they possibly be talking about that has Arthur so upset?

She doesn't move to speak until Merlin leaves the room, brushing past her like she isn't even there. But once she does, Rachel steps into the room fully.

"Arthur?"

It takes him a few moments to respond.

"...Rachel." He doesn't look at her yet. "What is it?"

Rachel stoops to pick up the goblet before moving closer, setting it on the table gently.

"It's very lovely," Rachel says airily, wiping her hands off on her skirt. "You might dent it if you throw it like that again."

"There's plenty others just like it." He rubbed at his eyes before moving across the room, sitting down at a chair and gesturing for Rachel to take the other one.

"That doesn't change the fact that that one is lovely."

Rachel pauses for a moment before taking his lead, sitting down in the chair offered to her almost gingerly. She still has no idea how she wound up here or where, properly, she is... though if Arthur is here, then it doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

"Is this where you live?" Rachel asks.

"It is," he said with a nod. Gesturing to his room, he continued. "These are my chambers, as you can probably tell."

"It's a beautiful castle."

She looks over her shoulder towards the door for a moment before she shifts her gaze back to Arthur.

"What were you fighting about?"

Of course she had to see that. Arthur ran a hand through his hair, looking hesitant before he began to speak.

"He's an idiotic, insubordinate fool who seems to love keeping secrets from me."

Rachel has a knack for seeing things that she isn't strictly meant to see. It normally causes her immense heartbreak, but -- well, the show must go on, right?

"Something tells me throwing a goblet at him isn't going to make him any less insubordinate."

He couldn't help but smirk slightly at that. "Nothing will. Throwing a goblet at him at least releases some of my anger."

"Maybe you should try handling your anger in something better," Rachel suggests, arching an eyebrow, clearly not impressed by the solution. "Like singing."
