Summary: Now that he's got his revenge on Rhode, Albedo's decided he doesn't want to stay at the empty cathedral and has decided to go back to where Jr. had been staying.
Now that Albedo had finished with Rhode, the sheer inhuman fury that had been holding off the feeling of utter emptiness inside of him had faded, leaving him nothing but a broken shell of a man. The emptiness of the cathedral where he had committed his atrocities resembled the emptiness inside of him far too much, the silence only making it painfully obvious that he could no longer hear Rubedo's voice. As there was no reason for him to remain, he'd decided to return to the place Rubedo had last called home.
His seven angelic wings took him easily to Leon's house, far easier than his own natural flight would have been in his broken emotional state, and he landed outside the door. Of course, he half expected the people living there to reject him, call him a monster for what he'd done and refuse to share space with him. The thought burned, stabbed at fears ordinarily kept hidden behind a veil of hatred. Why should he fear rejection? It wasn't as if he desired company, just relief from the silence that left him nothing to think about but his loss. Or did he?
He squashed that thought, refusing to consider the idea that these humans could make him feel any less alone, and knocked heavily on the door, a weary look on his face. The past several days had left him strained both physically and emotionally and he didn't even have the energy to offer a witty line through the door. At this point, he just wanted to rest, to find some way to ease the pain enough to get a good night's sleep. The bags under his eyes, earlier easily overlooked due to the manic look in his eyes, were now pronounced and showed that he'd hardly slept at all since Rubedo's death.
