Rhode lounged on the couch in her tower of the Chateau, a book covering her face as the evening light dimmed, leaving the room darkening in gloom. She'd shoved Lero under the couch to shut him up about two hours ago, and tossed her PCD away to the corner of the room. She didn't care if she'd broken it or not. She was feeling petty and angry, and she was entitled to her temper tantrums, wasn't she?
Allen wasn't coming back.
He was probably in one of the more stable buildings now, with Lavi and Lenalee. She could go find them if she wanted. She really wanted to. But she didn't want to. Stupid Exorcists. She didn't need Allen's company--he didn't like being with her, anyway. She hated being tolerated. Besides, Allen was just keeping her from having her fun, in the long run.
The little "bat", her imaginary friend for this silly event, landed on her book.
Rhode, fuck, if you'd just let me fucking kill the little furball! I could skin him and make him a rug, yeah, he'd be a mangy fur rug. Hah ha ha! That's all the little fucker deserves.
Silently, she swatted the bat with her book.
Shit! Don't be all bitchy at me because your boyfriend dumped you. The bat whined, fluttering away to perch on the back of the couch.
