Summary: Neji finally fulfills his promise to Hinata to train with her.
Arms folded in his sleeves, Neji surveyed the area with a small bit of nostalgia. He trained here every morning for the past year, and even back home, he did the same thing- always next to the river of the training ground. A force of habit, or the choosing to keep something the same despite being a world apart. Comfort, familiarity, it became something of a sanctuary, and now he would be training Hinata here.
The steady rush of water never failed to calm his nerves, and he moved on the riverbank with a sigh while he waited. She wouldn’t take long, he knew, and he had no worries of her getting lost. Mentally mapping out what he had decided to start teaching her and how to instruct. First of all, however, he’d need to know exactly where she stood.
Neji wasn’t yet fully recovered, he knew, but he was relatively sure he’d be able to handle what they would be going over this afternoon.
