Nagi's own PCD blipped quite a few times before he remembered to hit the right button. It didn't matter how simple those kids described it, it always seemed like it was too hard to use.

Turning it around once, he looked up the coordinates on the map and where he was located. Heading in the right direction was a simple practice that even an infant could do at this point.

Hmm. He pocketed the machine in his cloak so it wouldn't get too wet and fritz out on him. Pulling his hood against the wind, he headed off to meet his kid and the little Princess. He couldn't help but question if it was the right thing to do but at this point, he couldn't ignore it. The kid hadn't had real parents so he might as well take the chance to step up to the plate.

The wind was crazy, worse than anything Negi had ever seen before. He was thankful now that he had picked out a coat with a hood, and pulled the piece of cloth over his head before jumping out from the overhang into the rain.

The sheer force of the wind and rain was nearly enough to knock his small frame over, and it was all he could do to keep upright. Holding his arm up above his forehead as a makeshift shield to block the rain, he pressed forward, the wind thankfully dropping by a couple miles per hour and letting him walk fairly easily. With it so dark out, even while the sun was still up, it was going to be hard to tell where he was going, but he had the drive to not give up. His father was finally here, finally more than just stories, and he was going to find him.

A small chill ran down the Magister Magi's back, marking the feeling that only a parent really could have. He stopped in his tracks and decided to let the boy find his own way around. It was like his own kind of mini-test.

Eh, if he took too long, he'd give him a hint but if this was his own son, he didn't expect to have too do much of anything. After all, what kind of kid would he be if he hadn't inherited the amazing amount of awesome his dad had. Yeah, that was exactly it. He tightened the hood on his cloak and waited for his kid's appearance.

A sudden gust of wind came sweeping out of an alleyway, hitting Negi full-blast in the side and knocking the poor kid over. He used his back as a shield and waited until the gust stopped blowing before standing again, soaking wet. This wind was nearly as strong as magic. Was this something that those Animus things were doing? Were they mages, too?

Dripping with water, Negi murmured a short incantation, ending with a slightly louder "Flans paries aerialis". The wind suddenly stopped hitting him so hard, and the rain now hit a barrier instead of continuing on to soak his cloathing even more. Thank goodness for small victories! He grinned, satisfied, and began to run in the direction in which he had found his father's coordinates.
