Considering all the things he'd seen in the past week, Jotaro couldn't help but be a little relieved at finding himself someplace that at least looked ordinary. Not a chance. He was still guarded, unsure, as he stalked the halls.
Until he turned into a ward, and saw her.
"Unohana..."
It wasn't like him to speak up like this, he thought he might startle her, but for once he didn't stop himself. The way she stood there - watching over the unconscious girl in the bed, he didn't know who the girl was but the scene itself couldn't really be mistaken. It wasn't a happy memory and it wasn't going to turn into one.
He was silently furious with himself for speaking up. He shouldn't be here, should have turned around and left without her ever knowing what he'd seen, but it was too late now. He stood at the doorway, silent, looking away.

Unohana stood up right away when she noticed Joutarou-san. One last look at the various machines monitoring Hinamori, and she walked to him, motionnning for him to go back out of the ward.
"Hinamori-fukutaichou needs rest," she whispered softly, opening the door and keeping it open for him.

Jotaro didn't even try to press the matter. He stepped aside, allowing her to open the door and turning towards it without another glance back. Hinamori - that was the girl's name? No, he didn't need to know. He should never have seen. Perhaps neither of them would remember this the next morning.
"Moushiwake arimasen, Unohana-san," he murmured. There was nothing else to say.

Unohana shook her head to show there was no harm done, but as soon as she stepped out in the hall with him, she seemed to dissolve into speckles of bright light.
Behind him, the door to the ward was closed once more.

She was gone, but the weight of what had happened remained. Jotaro lingered outside the door for a moment, then shook his head, sticking his hands in his pockets as he wandered off. It was done. Now there was nothing to do but wait to see what happened in the morning.
He would've woken up then if he could; but it wasn't under his control, not any of it. He walked the corridors just to pass the time, no more doors for him if he could help it, even if some of them were open... he paused, briefly, outside one such open door from which voices were coming. It looked like a meeting of some sort, Unohana among two rows of people that he didn't recognize. More facets of her world perhaps... he shouldn't look.

The old man with the long beard sitting in the chair in the middle struck the floor with what looked like a cane. On each side, Captains in their white haoris were standing

Not something as personal this time, at least, though it was still a memory he was watching uninvited. It wasn't like him to surrender to his curiosity like this, Jotaro thought, without minimal restraint... but this was Unohana. Not just because of who, but also because of what she was it was hard to look away. All these men and women he'd seen, were they all like her - death gods?
He thought back to another mind he'd visited unwillingly as he took a hesitant step into the room, not sure what he thought to find in there. There as well as here, for all their obvious power, they still looked, seemed, spoke as though they were human - in the times he'd seen them, at least. Perhaps when they weren't, it was simply beyond his mind to grasp.

The two rows of people reappeared, but the line-up had changed up slightly. The old man was still presiding, but quite a few of the captains had changed. Unohana's hairstyle was now identical to the one she was sporting in adtsringendum

Enough, enough. It was more than fascinating, it was fantastic and perverse, and he couldn't keep with it - watching her, seeing her past and her secrets. Jotaro took a step back, then another - not turning around, but definitely on his way out of the room.
He needed to regain control.
Finally he turned, leaving the room behind him - it was an effort, but a worthwhile one. He walked down the corridor. No more rooms, and perhaps he'll forget it all when he woke up.
Perhaps.
((OOC: >_< It's really interesting but he's determined not to look anymore... so unless he somehow runs across living quarters Uno he'll be trying to leave now.))
