Allelujah didn't go to the meeting unarmed. The possibility of it being a trap was not so low; he knew that Mello wouldn't tell anything without a reason, especially using Lockon as a bait. On the other hand, in this godforsaken place, Mello didn't seem to have too many allies, if he ever had any.

He arrived just in time, approaching Mello with caution. It was better to keep on guard.

"I'm here."

Not like Mello was unarmed himself, but his gun was resting inside his coat, out of view. He didn't look like having intention to use it anytime soon, peacefully enjoying his chocolate bar. Everything about his looks and body language, however, screamed danger.

"I know that you're eager to hear about the situation with Lockon, so I'll get to the point." There was no time for chit-chat, and Mello imagined that Allelujah was a business man as well. "You are aware that none of us has the control over out lives right now, aren't you? Either the animus or the scientists, any of them could take Lockon away from you whenever they wish, and viceversa. It could happen tomorrow, or it could be happening right now. No matter when, there's nothing you can do about it."

There was a small pause, which Mello took to lick his chocolate bar for a few seconds. His eyes were fierce, piercing into Allelujah's when he spoke again. "I have proposed Lockon a plan to get our control-- no, our freedom back. He agreed."

Allelujah listened to his words in silence. He didn't feel too surprised that Lockon agreed to such a plan; what actually surprised him was why Mello. Yes, he knew - heard from Near - that the other was a genius. Perhaps it was up to them now to see how good he was.

"What kind of plan?" he asked finally, his face showing nothing from his thoughts.

"We..." he started, using that word on purpose instead of I "...are planning to invade the scientists headquarters. They're well protected, and I don't doubt that people might have tried to penetrate them in the past with no success."

Mello's smirk was permanently plastered on his features, confident. "The question is, how well prepared were they? From what I've observed, this place has quite a nice collection of over-powered people, but all of them lack brains. Power can only take you so far..." His smile grew slightly. "My friend Zexion would sure agree to this."
