Summary: Dax literally inspire Jak to jump out of bed, then drags him through the day to meet people, and stop being a recluse.
Daxter sauntered into the room he shared with Jak, all red hair and grins. Seeing Jak still asleep, he crept over putting his face close to the blonde's ear with an evil grin before taking a deep breath. "HEY!!!" he shouted, not horribly loud, but enough to startle any unsuspecting person.
"DAX!" Jak shouted as he bounced up, out of the bed. Poking his head up over the edge of the bed he started peering around nervously, now clutching his Blaster. "Damn it all Dax! I'm about to use this on you."
Daxter was currently rolling on the floor on the opposite side of the bed, howling with laughter. He was able to compose himself quickly, peering at his best friend over the edge of the bed. "Aw, ya know there's no chance of that, Jak. Ya know me too well ta accidentally shoot me."
"Now, who said it'd be an accident? I could always hope Torn shows up and give you to him." Jak folded up the gun and placed it back in his hiding place for it. "You got a reason for draggin' me up so e'rly?"
"You're not that cruel buddy." Daxter sprawled out across the bed. "And whaddaya mean early? It's almost lunchtime. Anyway, it's time ya got out an' made friends other than me. I could poof out any day and ya can't stay alone."
Jak went into the closest to pull out something to wear. Not that it really looked different from what he usually wore, except for the addition of a nice jacket. "Uh...Right." Certainly, his enthusiasm had suddenly dried up.
Suddenly he had an Ottsel on his shoulder. "Ya act like they're gonna do like everyone from Haven." One fuzzy hand ruffled Jak greenish-blonde hair. "This is more like Spargus...without the whole be useful or die thing."
He wasn't entirely convinced, but shrugged. Daxter had gotten him in worse trouble, and they had escaped. "Sure." With that, he stepped outside.
