Summary: Maes and Elysia play the day away
As soon as Maes woke up, he was preparing for their day. He made sandwiches and grabbed a few other things for a picnic, including snacks, grabbed an extra coat for Elysia in case it got cold and hers got wet, and generally puttered about the place.
Hearing some stirring going on in her room, Maes smiled and stuck everything in an easy-to-carry sack. On the way to check to see which little girl was awake, Maes stopped and rooted in the hall 'closet.' It was more like a spot where the wall had fallen in, but it worked. He grabbed the kite he'd found a few months back, as well as a soccer ball he hadn't found a use for before.
Quietly he opened the door to see if Elysia was awake. Maes didn't want to wake either of them up if they were still sleeping.
