Summary: The anti-hero re-introduces himself to the idealist, and the story starts again.

Billy trudged through the still snow covered streets of the city as quickly as he could. Really, Penny could be on top of a mountain and he would have still volunteered to come pick her up. Just the thought of Penny actually being here with him made his heart sore and it made him want to conquer the world in her name just that minute.

He felt like a love sick child at the moment. He hadn't seen Penny for months and now she was here. And, as a plus, if she didn't remember him...it meant that she didn't remember Hammer either.

This was like a win-win situation to him. He could become friends with her again and make her his girlfriend before Hammer got the chance too! He would win her love this time, he was sure of it.

He finally came to a stop once he saw the person that he had been searching for. She was still just as beautiful as the last time he remembered seeing her. With a large smile on his face he called out to her.

"Penny! Over here!"

Penny had seen him from far-away, and stood up when he called her. She waved at the friend she didn't remember. "Hey!" she called back with a smile (albeit a nervous one) on her face.

"Hey," he said with a large smile on his face.

It felt almost...out of character for him to be this cheerful but this was Penny. The girl of his dreams that he hadn't seen for months. Of course he would be acting cheery.

"Are you alright Penny?"

Penny walked over to him. "Yeah, I'm okay. I heard a few weird noises, but..." She looked over her shoulder. "...yeah, let's just get out of here."

"Yeah..." Billy said with a glance around the area. "That's probably a good idea."

A slightly awkward silence followed afterwards as he began leading Penny to the clinic. Though he'd like to ask her to come live with him but he figured it would freak her out to one, move in with a guy she just met and two, move in with a guy that she just met who happens to live in a science lab. So the clinic was the next best option for now.

"So what's the last thing you remember?"

Penny walked next to him. The unfamiliar, warzone-like surroundings made her steps cautious and almost hesitant, but the helping hand by her side made her keep going. She wish she could say stranger things had happened, but this pretty much topped all the strange things that EVER happened. Happenings involving time and space were discussed among the super villains in their world, but nothing ever actually happened. Her hands, which were already pale to begin with, were sweaty and shaking, and the way her eyes were pacing back and forth matched

"Oh yeah, I remember that. That was the first time I talked to you."

It was probably the highlight of that day, even after he got the wonderflonium. Getting the guts, even if it was Penny who had came to him, to talk to Penny was a huge step. Hopefully, now that he was more comfortable with actually talking to her, he could get somewhere with her before Hammer got to Penny.

She looked up from her clipboard and looked at him, suprised. "It was?"
