Summary: Kamui needs to talk to Rosalie about certain things.

Kamui carefully moved across the rubble of the streets as he made his way to where Rosalie was. He'd been thinking things over ever since the end of that week. It wasn't enough that his waking thoughts were on it but his dreams seemed to have turned to it too. He felt tired. Even though he'd been able to sleep his dreams had taken away any moment of rest that he might have had. Dreams. Nightmares. It was starting to become difficult to understand what exactly was going on in his head anymore

Still digging into her own world of thought, which always seemed to be so opened and welcoming to her, since it was much easier for a vampire, who didn't need any rest, to focus on something. It had become much more difficult since she had tasted human blood though, that was true, too. Rose had to feed more often now, but she successfully had made her way back to animal blood, which was calming her, even if only for a little bit. There were times now when the mere thought of blood, especially human, made all of her muscles clench tightly, ready to fight for it any second.

Her eyes, who had become a deep kind of wine red instead of their normal soft golden hue, focused on the door as it began to open and she heard Kamui's voice, felt his presence near to her.
She raise from the bed she had prepared for herself, even though it didn't matter if she stood or sat, and walked towards the point where his scent was strongest.
"I am here.", she said calmly, even if it was obvious that he knew that already.

Kamui could pick up easily that Rosalie was moving from wherever she had been positioned. After the week his senses a been a little too raised to be natural, too much blood in his system as it turned out, cutting back had been difficult. He'd gotten used to feeding so often during that lust phase after all. Over the time between the end of that event and now though he'd been slowly cutting back, not taking steps which were likely to make him snap but certainly enough to get his body used to needing less and less

Rosalie's eyes widened slightly with surprise. Wait. What did he just ask?
It almost felt like she had not been there at all a few seconds ago.
Had he really asked for her feelings just now?

She could not help simply standing there, her eyes locked on him, for she herself didn't know the answer. He hadn't been able to say much a few days ago, just why should she be able to make a difference now?

Rosie opened her mouth but nothing came out at first. Then she heard herself say something, in a much more confident voice than she was actually feeling, "I trust you. Most likely you are the one I trust most of all the people who are here with me." These words were nothing but the truth, she knew and finally felt that it was much easier to simply tell him than think over it for days still without knowing anything in the end.
"And yes, I like you, too. I think that we are much alike, actually, Kamui. And I like spending time with you or just talking to you."

Kamui stood with an almost completely blank look on his features. He didn't want to give away any indication as to how he was really feeling about the situation. Not that he was completely sure of his feelings either way. Still he was hoping that being sure of how the other vampire felt that he'd be able to get his own head sorted out.

At least he hoped so.

Absently he mumbled, "I see." In a rather distant tone. He stayed quiet for a few moments as he moved his gaze to a patch on the floor, taking the brief pause to get his active thoughts a little more organised. The vampire didn't raise his back back as he asked another question, "How do you like me?"

The question itself sounded vague but...well a lot rested on it really. If the answer was one thing then they'd be able to talk the rest over and leave as friends, at least in theory, if it was the other thing...
He wasn't so sure about that area of things and where that could lead.

Rosalie walked towards him until only a few inches seperated them from each other anymore, hoping it would be okay for him. He wanted to have an honest answer and she was going to give him one, she decided

Kamui watched the other vampire carefully, while his expression was blank it certainly wasn't as hard as it normally was. He was completely unsure about this whole instance, it was probably as far from his normal comfort zone of interaction as possible. He felt uncomfortable around other people in general and this...it was just so different

Kamui's non-existing expression did confuse Rose to the most possible extent. She was afraid of doing or saying something that would scare him away from her. She didn't want him to feel sorry for her, but simply wanted him to understand her, to really know about her.

His words surprised her even more, since they came so unexpectedly along with a soft touch she wasn't used to. Rosie's own reply was a simply smile this time and a sigh.
"I understand." And she really did. She knew how difficult it was to take the first step, to do something in general but especially in the situation they found themselves in now. "I don't know, either, Kamui. I don't want to hurt you or do something that might make you hate me. I just want ... you to be happy."

Yes, that was true. He had to deal with enough already. An insane girlfriend was most likely the last thing he could possibly need right now.

Kamui dropped his head slightly after watching Rosalie for a few moments. He really wasn't sure what would make him happy right now. What he wanted now that he'd found out this much. Did he want to stay as simply friends or did he want to try as something slightly more?

Absently he ran his thumb over her hand in thought. It was all fine in saying that she didn't want to hurt him but the question was whether it was hurting her too. He glanced up at her again with a small smile for a few moments, he really doubted she could do anything to earn his hate.

"I'm happy now." He muttered, more to himself than to the other vampire as he lowered his head again. "I like you but i'm not sure if I like you in that way. I probably won't know unless..." He trailed off slightly as though unsure as to whether he should continue. It took a few long moments before he sighed slightly and finished his thought, "Unless we try."

"If that's what you want to ... I'm there.", she simply replied, her mouth all gpone dry and her voice much more secure than she was. "If you want to try, we will, if that's what makes you happy, Kamui."

Her words were a lot more egoistic than they sounded, for she herself liked him to much to forget about him totally. She would keep thinking about him, no matter where he was.

Kamui looked up carefully before nodding with a very slight smile on his features. It was clear from his expression that he wasn't totally sure on what to say or do, he simply nodded again as though it would convey something inteligable.

He was happy that was clear, just a little lost for where to go from there. He'd never been in this situation before after all.
