The Olympics are on!!!
I love the Olympics. I love the Winter Olympics with a fierce, icy, patriotic passion. I always enjoy the Summer Olympics, but they don't grab me the way the Winter Olympics do. Probably has nothing to do with the fact I live in a cold country.
So anyway, yeah, I spent a good portion of the weekend watching luge (how can you not love watching people bomb down an ice slide on a tiny little sled at speeds approaching 80 miles an hour?), speed skating (not bad, but can't wait for the insanity that is short track speed skating), women's freestyle moguls (yay! first Gold medal for Canada and I have to say, Norweigian Silver medalist Kari Traa is absolutely stunning), Canadian women's hockey team destroying both the Italians (16-0) and the Russians (12-0 when I stopped watching), and ski-jumping/cross-country skiing combined competition (increadibly fit, tall, lanky men in spandex? Nice!)
