No Name
Of course people have been asking us what we're thinking of naming the communion alien. Knowing that she's a she, that makes it a lot easier. Graig has had a name in mind for a very long time, and I agreed with it. However, he won't let me tell people what it is. His reasoning? They already know we're having a girl, so there needs to be some surprise to the whole thing. (Although, I think my being pregnant in the first place has been a huge surprise to pretty much everyone. I know it was for me...)
Now, some people do know what her name is because Graig didn't tell me it was a SECRET right away, so I told a couple of people like my mom and kon_el333 because I didn't know not to. Fortunately, my family is terrible with names, so even though I'm sure my mom's told others, they won't remember it. I told K because I knew he'd get a kick out of it.
Today the Snail crowd asked about the name. Of course they think it should be something geeky related to Kent. And they're right, it is. However, it's also a pretty obscure Kent related name, and we told them so, and left them all in a tizzy trying desperately to figure it out. It was rather funny actually. Now, the thing is, Ciaran's back in town for a visit this week, and I'm seeing him tonight, and if there is one person who can figure out what the name is based on such a limited clue, it's Ciaran and his vast wealth of comic book trivia. So, I'm interested in seeing if he will come up with it...
So yeah, we're not telling anyone what her name is yet. But overall, this follows a kinda annoying pattern; Graig also wouldn't let me tell anyone we were getting married until nearly the last possible moment, and now he won't let me tell anyone her name. He's such a wet blanket :)
