a few have asked after the Rhapsody books, so I'm posting a quick explanation. My favorite genre of books is science fiction/fantasy, and by fantasy I mean the cool mythical creatures, innate magic, faerie peoples, lost legends, and changes in time. I have a smaller shelf that I have called my Fantasy Shelf that will soon need to be replaced by a larger shelf to accomodate my expanding collection!! Anyways, Rhapsody is a woman on the island of Serendair, and she's a Namer, which means that she his innate music lore and because she tells the truth and nothing but the truth, she can name things and have them retain their origional form (cool talent, huh???) out of a series of strange events, she ends up in the company of two very strange characters and ends up crawling along a root of a tree to the other side of time across the world, and while she is on her journey, her island home is destroyed by a falling star. When she and her companions emerge on the other side of time, they find that 1400 years have passed. The 6 books (Rhapsody [Child of Blood], Prophecy [Child of Earth], Destiny [Child of Sky], Requiem to the Sun, Elegy for a Lost Star, and The Assassin King, known as the Symphony of Ages series, tells their story.
It really is amazing. I can't seem to put them down, even when I know that I need to be doing other things.
Hope that helps!! :) thanks for being interested!!
