Working at this Writer's Conference a few weeks ago reminded me of something. It's really f*cking hard to sell books these days. I had to stop people in their tracks and almost literally tie them down or block them from moving in order to get them to buy a book. Too many people are into this whole books on tape thing and never actually read

i understand with the books on tape. i love reading a good book, with pages and words. lol. but i do download books on tape to help me sleep, becuase if i read a normal book i can't fall asleep. this way i can just listen with my eyes closed and drift off. so i guess i see both sides of the issue. but like you, i have probably read over a hundred or more books just int he past year. good luck.

I love reading! It's hard to restrain myself from buying books, cause sometimes I don't have time to read all the ones I buy!

Never heard a book on tape...and even though I can't knock it 'till I've tried it, it seems like I would still prefer to curl up with a book before bed then let one lull me to sleep. It's a book for goodness sake, not a lullaby!
