Walking into my room this evening I opened Houdini's cage to feed him. At that time I was unaware that Phillip was leaning over the desk which was above Houdini's now open cage. As I grabbed for the small bag of food I watched in horror as the small defenseless frog fell into the open cage, afraid of what Houdini might do if he happens to fall on top of him.
To my delight he did not land on the hampster, but in the corner of his cage.
Houdini was shocked by the sudden arrival of a new creature in his cage. As he froze over his food dish, unaware of weather or not to approch the green creature.
as he approched the frog, he paused before sniffing around the area, making sure that Phillip would do him no harm, and was pleased at the realization that he was a gentle creature.
as Phillip extended his hand in introduction, Houdini decided he was not up for any foreplay.
even though Phillip did try and protest at first, trying to push the tiny yet heavy creature off of him..
he finally laid back and accepted it. Thus starting a beautiful relationship...
now weather or not Houdini really cares or loves Phillip is yet to be determined..I just pray he is not using the defenseless animal.
