London, taking planes, duty free shopping and the West Wing
I was in London about two weeks ago. Had loads of fun as it was a HOLIDAY! Yes, travelling on a plane for non-work reasons is great! You enjoy the SIA inflight entertainment without worrying that you should try to get some sleep (although the choice of movies available weren't that great), you get to drink as much as you can, keep buzzing the SIA girl for more stuff from the snack tray etc. (by the way, I don't know what you think, but not all SIA girls look as stunning in person like the ones on the adverts...)
Travelling in London was great! It's different being in London when you earn a comfortable wage and have little compunction using your credit card(s). I am proud that I got my first ever shirt from Thomas Pink! and managed to find university coat of arms cuff links from the LSE campus store! the campus felt different too. But I guess it's because you're not part of the "scene" anymore.
