NaNoWriMo: Day 3

Nov 03, 2010 20:03

So I've realized that my problem with writing isn't that I have no ideas, no.  It's that I'm so easily distracted.  Take now, for instance.  I could be sitting here at my computer writing the 1,510 words that I have to go in order to meet my daily goal (or the 3,092 words I have to completely catch up for missing Monday), but what am I doing?  I'm blogging about my hardships on my Livejournal.

At least I recognize my faults.

On a brighter note, I have the beginnings of a plot.  I don't really want to map it out because I'm sure it'll change drastically by the time the month is done, so I'm only mapping things out part by part to keep the creative juices flowing.  Once I get a little deeper into my story, I might post parts up here.  Or I might not, whatever.

Hmmm, I should go finish writing...or go watch another episode of Sengoku Basara.  I'm not sure why I'm so into that show:  I haven't been into anime in ages.  It's just so...distracting me from what I should be doing.  Writing.  Right.  Let me get to that.

I will finish this stupid novel.

EDIT:  Yes, word count met again! ...But still behind.  >.<  I am at 3,623 words altogether, putting me at approximately 1,400 behind.  I can do this.  I write more than this all the damn time.  I knew I should've gone with fanfiction...
